Rahmat Wibowo - Serial Online Harasser
Serial online harassment actor — case dossier
Rahmat Wibowo is a serial online harasser, targetting dozens of individuals from 2023 to present. Self-claimed Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer, he runs serial harassment and fake narratives campaigns throughout his social media accounts, especially LinkedIn and Instagram.
He had multiple short employements through multiple companies including Xendit, Amazon Web Services (AWS), zvoove Group, Pertamina, and Liven, where he had questionable performance or violated company policies and was eventually let go.
He graduated from STEI ITB (School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Institut Teknologi Bandung), one of Indonesia’s most prestigious engineering faculties. Despite this background, he has launched numerous defamation and slander attacks against fellow ITB alumni and actively antagonizes the alumni community — largely because he was removed from alumni community groups due to his disruptive and spamming behavior.
He is currently working as CEO of a startup that he co-founded called InfraLoka. He started a lot of company initiatives, but other than spamming none really materialized other than LinkedIn posts. Despite of being a CEO, he has a history of being involved in online harassment campaigns, which has raised concerns about his character and behavior. He also spends a lot of time on social media, where he has a large following and is known for his controversial and inflammatory posts.
This dossier collects publicly posts from his social media accounts and compiles them into a single profile. It also includes a timeline of his harassment campaigns, as well as a list of known targets and their profiles.
Modus operandi
He runs serial harassment campaigns against his targets, often using the same tactics and strategies.
- Manufactured grievance. He reframes a personal slight as a moral injustice, drawing in outsiders who feel justified joining the campaign without ever hearing the other side.
- Fake narratives. He fabricates or distorts stories about his targets and spreads them across platforms to damage reputations before anyone can verify the facts.
- Swarming. He coordinates simultaneous contact from multiple channels — WhatsApp messages, LinkedIn comments, Instagram DMs — to overwhelm a single target all at once.
- SEO poisoning. He publishes hundreds of AI-generated LinkedIn posts naming his targets, flooding search results with defamatory content that becomes the first thing anyone finds about them.
- Cherry-picking facts. He lifts isolated, out-of-context details that appear credible while suppressing contradictory evidence, crafting a distorted but plausible-sounding account.
- Manipulation of public opinion. He uses his social media reach to steer public perception against his targets, amplifying false claims repeatedly until they are treated as established fact.
- Group infiltration and bait-for-removal. He enters community groups uninvited and spams immediately to provoke removal, then publicly slanders the members he believes were responsible for kicking him out.
